Hardin-Simmons graduate 辛西娅·金·皮尔森 has become an outstanding community leader in Abilene, making her mark as an exceptional executive in the non-profit arena. 出生在哈丁的印第安保留区, 蒙大拿, 皮尔森 grew up in Denver and attended the University of Denver before completing her college education at Hardin-Simmons University from 1983 to 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

皮尔森 represents early childhood education on the West Central Texas Workforce Solutions Board and serves on the Board of Development for Hardin-Simmons University. She previously served on the Texas Education Reform Foundation Board and the Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition, 现在是德州儿童关怀组织的一部分. She also served on legislative subcommittees related to early childhood development, and in several advocacy capacities at the state and local levels related to early childhood education.
